| '10 CA QB Nick Hirschman Pro-style quarterback
Los Gatos (CA) Los Gatos
Ht: 6-foot-4
Wt: 215 lbs Nick Hirschman - Football Recruiting Scout.com: Nick Hirschman Profile Quote:
"I studied film on him earlier this year, and he had a long delivery," Every said. "He looked big, chunky and slow of foot. But it looks like he's lost about 20 pounds since last season. His release is completely different. It's much shorter. It's definitely a pro-style release. He threw an accurate ball all camp long."
"There were a lot of other household named quarterbacks here, but Nick Hirschman definitely surprised me. I think he's a guy everybody will have to keep an eye on because of his new and improved ability."
"To be honest, if I was a college coach, I wouldn't even look at the junior film. It's not the same person."- Barry Every
| This is a kid to start watching out for though he doesn't have any offers yet, that will change soon. He has been working the last 6 months with Trent Dilfer and goes almost every week on a 6 hour drive (both ways) to train under Elite 11 QB Coach Bob Johnson...

| At this combine, Every said Nottingham was the best QB he's seen all year, and that Hirschman was the biggest surprise of the camp by far. Meanwhile, big names like Austin Hinder and Nick Montana struggled big time...
Players like Nottingham and Hirschman are the very reason UT fans should not panic if we don't land Heaps or Scroggins. There are good QB's out there that are yet to be discovered...

| Hmm... Look what we have here... Quote:
"It was really a chance for me to show people how much I've changed and how hard I've been working," Hirschman said. "I think I showed off what I can do last weekend. I can compete with all those guys who are ranked, even though I'm not. I thought it went great."
"It's been a big change from my junior season," Hirschman said. "I don't think I would've been able to compete with those guys. Both my head coach and Bob just got me prepared, so I was ready to go out and compete."
Hirschman has been in contact with a number of Pac-10 powers, including USC, Cal, UCLA and Oregon State. He's also had some conversations with Pitt, Nebraska and Tennessee.
He'll be plenty busy hitting up camps this summer, as Hirschman is planning on camping at UCLA, USC, Oregon State, Oregon, Stanford, Cal, Arizona State, Harvard and possibly Tennessee.
"They've been talking to me very recently," Hirschman said of the Vols. "I think they have a great program. They've got new coaches coming in and it seems like an exciting place to be."
| Per Rivals... This kid is now officially on the Vols radar. I really hope this guy comes to camp. He is a VERY hard worker, and may be the #2/Project QB that the Vols need in this class. Besides working with QB Coach Bob Johnson and Trent Dilfer, he has been working with former NFL QB Rob Johnson...

I think Tennessee likes what they have seen of Hirschman, but want to see more which is why they are hoping to get him to camp.
