Watched the vid on his Rivals page. The kid has an arm he threw several deep ball strikes. One of them was at the 9:30 mark it was about a 53 yard pass. He can also use his feet to get away from defenders as well as scoring. I thought he was pretty good.

Also liked seeing that he took quite a bit of snaps under center as well which I haven't seen to much of that in a lot of the recruiting vids.

The kid also had some nice WRs to pick up some extra yardage after the catch.

Great video of the kid, and this is a prime example of why people don't need to freak out right now. Too many kids out there that aren't yet discovered that could be better than some of the 4-5* prospects already ranked.

I'm going to need him to eat some food before we even think about signing him.

Scouts, Inc. grade from ESPNU---

Joseph Brennan - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN

Quote:
Brennan reminds us some of last year's Josh Nunes in terms of measurables and methods. He is a tall, lean pocket passer with smooth throwing mechanics and a quality arm. He is a late bloomer in terms of his frame and strength-- has to get bigger and stronger. Has good intangibles. He shows good accuracy in the short-to-intermediate passing game. Has good arm strength and appears to handle pressure well. He does not possess an elite arm, but when on time and in rhythm he can make most, if not all the necessary throws. Does a nice job of surveying the field, won't have trouble finding passing lanes and has good zip when he needs to especially on underneath throws. Accuracy is solid and he throws a catchable ball. Has a quick release and shows very good timing on passes. Has a nice feel for anticipation. Touch on the deep ball is smooth, and he can lay it in on top of coverage. Ball carriage is steady and chest high and delivery is fluid and over-the-top. Gets rid of the ball quickly. Footwork, drops and set up are sound and he has just enough athleticism to buy a second passing chance. There are times when Brennan can look sharp and in sync and others where he will loft the ball, lose power and not look as smooth or authoritative as a passer. He does not appear to have terrific ball speed and velocity, however he will make some fine throws with timing and ball placement that is pinpoint. We feel Brennan has something too him. The measurables are present and he has the tools to develop and become stronger as a passer. He displays quality control and command of the offense and plays with confidence. Overall, Brennan has a real chance to become a good college prospect and potential starter in time. A redshirt year would really do him wonders.

This kid just jumped to the top of my favorites. My only knock on him is how he holds the ball. He needs to bring it up higher. Other than that, he's got a live arm, he's mobile in the pocket, he's tall, he'll probably gain some weight if he's a late bloomer.

EDIT: Nice touch on the fade balls, too.
