| Oh, and Janzen, and also Bryce Brown. Don't under-estimate the staff, you've already seen results of 3 months of recruiting. |

Before that, Tennessee offered Shirley, an offer that he had been hoping for since we first talked to him in March. And more could be on the way.
“As of right now, my top schools would be UCLA, Tennessee, Washington, Arizona, Cal and USC,” said Shirley. “But I don’t have a leader yet.”

| I have a feeling that he will come east out to Tennessee. Could be our first big West Coast commit, if heaps or scroggins doesn't pull the trigger before he does. |

I'm thinking about taking official visits to Miami, Tennessee and Oregon. I'm going to visit UCLA, of course.

"Probably USC, UCLA and Tennessee. I like their staffs programs. I'll be looking at academics, how much interest they have in me, and how they'll take care of me for the next four years of my life.
"I'll probably decide late and take a while to decide. I plan to take all of my (official) visits. Distance is not a factor."

| I agree with vols5790. This is our best shot with a elite LBer. Hicks said he favoring Texas, so we are already behind in that race. Although I have no doubt this staff can get him. Shirley has put us in the top 3, but that can change as he will make a decision later. Just right now i think we have a better shot a Shirley.

"It's not a fact yet, but I am definitely thinking about visiting Tennessee," Shirley said. "UCLA is also a high consideration for a visit, but that it is right now."

| I doubt Tennessee has much of a shot at Hicks. His high school coach is a huge OSU fan and will push hard for them. Hicks favorite is obviously Texas but he'll be under a ton of pressure from the people in West Chester to go to OSU. Those will be his 2 finalists I bet. |
