He's been on Eric's offer list for a while. I thought he had been brought up a few times, but using the search function I found nothing on him. He's a good prospect.

For the most part he held his own in 1-v-1 exercises:

JaWaun on Tennessee---"I get a lot of letters from them all the time and they are recruiting me hard."

•He wants to focus on his final schools and give them the most attention.

•He recently accepted an invitation to the 2010 Under Armour All-American Bowl.

In the Rivals article he says that he has visited Alabama 2 times and Georgia 3 times. I think it's a good sign for the Vols that he has not committed already...

Jawuan definitely looked like he held his own from the video. I liked Dominic Espinosa also.

this guy's already narrowed his list, unlike a lot of others. good thing we're on it ha. if he's taken 3 trips to some other schools then it looks like we'll have to catch up a bit, but im not worried. obviously our line needs some bodies i think this class will help with that. i think espinosa is gone to texas. i want at least a few of the following and i'll be satisfied: james stone, james hurst, robert crisp, chaz green, jawaun james, oc brown, wes rea.

"It was a really nice trip," James said of his visit. "I got a chance to see all the facilities and the coaches seemed serious about trying to get me to be a part of their program. I had a chance to talk with all of the staff and to watch film with coach Kiffin in his office."

"I don't have a top-five or anything yet but Tennessee's up there now," James said when asked where the Vols stood in his recruitment. "I liked it up there a lot and like I said, they have a real need for offensive lineman. They stand pretty high with me right now."

"It's just real exciting up there, I don't know how else to say it," James said of Lane Kiffin and his staff. "There's a different energy than with any other school that's recruiting me. I got a great vibe from the coaches up there. Coach (Ed) Orgeron and coach (Lance) Thompson are the the two I talk to the most but I got a great feeling from the whole staff."

"Alabama and Florida are right at the top for me. There isn't much that distinguishes the two schools because after awhile it all starts to run together," said James who also has offers from Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Clemson among many others. "Both Alabama and Florida have great programs, great coaches, great facilities, great fans and a great tradition. Distance isn't really a factor for me at all even though Alabama is closer so it will be tough. And I am still considering all of the schools on my list."

"I really paid close attention to the Jack linebackers and Don'ta Hightower. I think he is outstanding not just stopping the run but in coverage," said Burrows who stands 6-foot-3, 245 pounds. "Alabama thinks that I can be that type of player, but I know I have a lot of improving to do to get to that point."


"Right now I like Alabama, Florida and Georgia. They are all terrific schools and I can see myself going to any of the three. I don't have a decision time frame, but I know I don't want to be in a hurry because it is an important decision."

James is supposed to be down to Alabama and Tennessee and looking to make a decision soon.

He may be making an unofficial this weekend.

Where did you hear that Sab? I thought the Dawgs were gonna be a major player with him. I really hope you are right though...

Chris Walker and Eric Berry are our go to recruiters. Who else even hosts recrutis besides them? I don't think I've even noticed.
