I haven't watched interview and don't intend. Hard to buy into thigs kdis say. Just wondering if he spoke to what he meant by depth? | +1 |

Rettig knows regardless of which school Scroggins chooses, he can go to the other. However, if Rettig really wants to go to UT more than USC, he could pull the trigger first. Although, my guess is, he would love to get a USC offer and stay in state, but Jesse will have to go somewhere else for that to happen. |

But unlike Scroggins I tend to take what he says at face value. I truly believe he was going to commit to BC. I truly believe he is a loyalty guy and values the team that wants him most. I also believe that since USC is waiting clearly but Scroggins far above him he may want to come here more. The only thing that would change my thoughts is if he is a surfer.
One thing I am as sure of as you can be is once he commits he is committed no matter who offers later.
Scroggins I am not as sure of if he commits to us. I think he is going to be thinking about this until signing day.

JMO | all three points are valid IMO. i think he is a loyalty guy, but im not so sure he will commit to BC if JS goes to USC. it all depends on how much love we show him by his senior season i think. we have to out do BC if we lose JS and we should start now if we havent, even if the coaches think that we are going to get JS.
once he commits, he is not going anywhere, unlike JS, who is going to be a question mark until NSD.

JMO | This may have been mentioned before (off-topic a bit, sorry), but how big a role does Casey Clausen's involvement with Rettig play? Rettig has to be asking Casey about his time at UT, what it's like to play here, go to school here, etc... I think Casey loved his time, the only question mark would be how he feels about Fulmer being let go. I just wonder if that will be a big or a non factor. EDIT: I see now that there are comments on this in Rettig's thread and a thread about the interview Casey did - my apologies. Carry on!
Also, for what it's worth, Scroggins does strike me as a guy who will be back and forth all the way to February, regardless of what the 7/25 decision is.

I expect the biggest list of decommitments to occur this year. and wouldn't surprise me to see it happen in QB ranks more than ever. This is weakest class in 20 years and the rankings will shuffle dramatically in the fall I believe.
Already talk that Retting, currently not ranked by Rivals, could end up a 4 star which puts in in top 12..

| Good luck to you guys in getting Scroggins. I actually hope you guys get him over uscw. Brings more fun to the rivalry imo when both teams have top 10 teams every year. That said, i think your chances are about 20%. He's the #1 qb outta hs this year, and after the usc camp last month he knows it. So qb depth will not come into play for him. |
