| You don't know how many things are taken out of context from an interview to make it sound like a kid is favoring one school and saying disparaging things about another.
How do we know there has been negative recruiting. All you see in the media is secondary violations this and loud mouth Kiffin that. We get enough negative publicity from everyone else, doesn't mean that CUM is spewing words about us. It would be a concern for any prospect...Kiffin is the most talked about coach in the offseason, so the violations question will arrise naturally. |

| I sure hope Jacques Smith can pull this one out for us and recruit Scroggins to UT. I hate to hear that he is all USC - THAT REALLY STINKS! |

He is a toothpick he needs 20 pounds of muscle to be ready to play on this level. He has a pic on myspace of himself shirtless. I am guessing like many guys cuz he is in shape and has 0 percent body fat thus some muscle shows, as little as they are, he thinks he is Rambo I am sure. Reality is he needs a lot of work in the gym if he wants to get arm strength up. And who says once he puts on the weight he is as fluid in the pocket. I am not down on him but I do not see this separation from guys like Rettig. |

I played college basketball at Long Beach State...Lakewood High where Scroggins goes is right down the street from the campus. The basketball coach Matt Ruiz who coached at LBSU at one point told me late last night the he is all USC....USC is selling him on redshirting sitting a year behind Barkley and them having two to play. Said the kid isn't the most confident kid and that the pressure of coming to UT and being looked at as someone who needs to step in as a True Freshman is not as appealing as some might think. Chase Rettig?

| I still think the ESPN article about USC offering either Rettig or Bray is telling. I also don't think USC asked the kid to wait till the 25th. I think Scroggins was told to do this by a coach. I don't think that coach was PC. It leaves UF and UT.
For alot of reason's I don't think he lands in Florida. The whole process he has mentioned the depth chart would be a factor. Talks about family ties to the state of Tennessee. Even in the Go vols article today he said "there are so many things to say about Tennessee". The talk about how putting this off would help with recruiting. This is vintage Kiffin. I think he is ours. I am honestly not looking at this as a fan. I am looking at all the info out there.
Remember what this staff done with the short time we had to recruit last year. We haven't seen anything yet. Look at all the names starting to pop up that we thought we might not have been in on. Seastrunk, Dyer, Luc, Joyner, the list goes on.....
Wether or not this staff wins alot of games at UT I don't know. But what I do know is they can recruit. They have a resume that proves that and I don't think we are going to be disappointed when all of this plays out. Scroggins is the first of many "big time" players that we will get in this class. |

| Someone on this site is going to jump on this 2nd hand (3rd hand?) info and start bashing the kid. THATS a lock. |

| IMO, Lamaison or Stephens will start at QB in 2010. Scroggins can wait until 2011 if he's not comfortable starting as a Freshman. However, what an opportunity if he happens to step up in 2010. If he's concerned about violations, it seems USC would be the highest risk situation. As far as UF, why does 25 arrests in 4 years not concern the Scroggins Family? He's got 3 really good options no matter what & I wish him the best. Seems like a good kid. |

| If he cant handle pressure that rules out USC and as far as florida goes he might as well not even step on the field at the swamp because a little screw up and they will eat him alive, but i guess every statium is that way but theirs is worse than most.

| Theres a difference in being the "Savior" like some of you guys were calling him, than watching on the bench for two years before coming in and playing.

| If this is true, I bet Rettig is getting ready to get an offer, and it will not be after the 25th either. If he's not, something is wrong. |
