i think the writeing is on the wall, but i think we will be fine with 2 of the 3 i mentiond, even though strauss is a long shot gamble but could be solid, but he could end up like legaux and let the preasure get to him also.

strauss would have ben the kind of guy thats not gona be a high priority anyway, reason i mentiond him is he had a lot of intrest, but no offer, there are probley 7-8 long shot guys that will do just as well.
but lets hope it dosent even come to that, and we can get rettig and reese in here to compete.

I think he should leave it alone.. I think part of our staff was there and had a hand in recruiting Bush, but I could be wrong.... That may send the wrong message to any recruit.. |

| Whether we get Scroggins or not, it's remarkable to be in the running with USC on him, considering where he grew up and what our recent history has been. |

There are several recruits we are in the running with that 'theoretically' we shouldn't be.
Like many, I want Scroggins and IMO, I think we are still very much in it. However, if we don't get him we are going to be fine.

| I think getting Scroggins will be a somewhat of a "jump start" for our rebuilding process. Assuming all the great recruits follow him and we get Prater/Stone/Luc(maybe)/Ambles/Williams etc..and end up wit a top five class, then we will be way ahead of schedule when it comes to rebuilding our program.
I have no doubt that in 3-5 years we'll be back, but in my opinion, getting Scroggins, and the athletes that will follow, will put us closer to 3. |

| I think Scroggins is UT bound but could be wrong. Even if USC was such a dream school for him I think he would have accepted on the spot when they offered. I think the fact that he didn't says alot for Kiffin and his staff.
It is one thing to play for one of the best programs in the country, but it is another to do it and also play in one of the best conferences at the same time. Good luck to UT on this one and hope you can land him. |

| Please clarify: Has Scroggins been quoted as having said that he has bumped up his announcement to next week or is that just speculation? |
