He may have talent, but the kid is yet to prove anything on the next level, and starting for an SEC team is a pretty big accomplishment that he hasn't earned yet.

I know Jesse's Kiffin guy and all, but the starting job wont just be handed to him. I think Kiffin has allready shown you ahve to work and earn the job regardless of who you are and your seniority.

Do you also see this as a possible tug of war match in egos between PC and LK with Jesse being the rope? |

Sure he hasn't earned it yet. The kid hasn't even played his senior year of ball yet. But if he does come here and the coaches do their job, he has a realistic chance of being "the guy" here in 2011. It's not much of a stretch. We aren't going to get a guy in next year's class that's better than Scroggins with a year's head start in learning this offense. You are selling him waay short. Quote:

Why would you not include Jesse in the "talent they bring in every year?" He walks on water for most of the UT fans... |

If I misunderstood, never mind. | You did. The fact that the job won't be handed to him should be a given. No one on this team will have a job handed to them see Josh McNeil for an example.

I see them recruiting hard against each other, but IMO it will be clean. In fact I think they'll help each other out when they can.

Thought I might have gotten what you said wrong. But hey, when I get it wrong, I get it totally wrong don't I?

Basically the opposite of the relationship (or lack thereof) between CLK and CUM..
I don't know, maybe I give people to much credit...

I don't know, maybe I give people to much credit... | I think that sounds fine and dandy but Jesse is the first time they have gone head to head... PC is a very competitive guy and does not like to lose in anything. You can bet that if he loses his #1 QB prospect and only QB offer to LK, it will be on like donkey kong!
On second thought, how about we give you Jesse and a player to be named in exchange for Coach O and Mrs Kiffin |
