New article on Rivals talks about the five RBs that they believe we are recruiting the hardest. Dyer was the first on the list. He was suppose to come for camp last week and was a no show. However he is going to take an unofficial visit in July and we are still in the race for him.

can you elaborate on why you feel this way? was it something you picked up on from your conversation with him?

The nation's No. 3 back, who is one of only 14 prospects currently rated a five-star by Rivals.com, gave high marks to his weekend on the Plains.

"It was perfect," Dyer said. "The coaches, the campus, they just have a lot to offer. It's just all-around great."

Dyer credited AU's coaching staff, particularly offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn and running backs coach Curtis Luper, for making his visit so perfect.

Perfect enough, in fact, to put the Tigers at the top of a very impressive list of offers.

"Auburn is No. 1," Dyer said. "They've actually been No. 1 for a while. Coach Malzahn and Coach Luper are two coaches I trust and respect. They can make it happen for me."

It'd be nice if Seastrunk or Lattimore went ahead and committed to Auburn so it might put off Dyer a little bit, maybe.

Several people are saying that Dyer is overrated. I still think he ends up a hog.

I'd say this basically locks up Seastrunk to USC/Texas/LSU now and Lattimore to SCar.

Oh maybe. I really don't know enough about Lattimore to say anything certain about him. I just threw it out there because I heard it the most.

I dont see us getting another highly rated 4 or 5* RB for a couple years.....ESPECIALLY if BB and Oku are as advertised. We have so much young depth at the position its gotta scare off some of the bigger name recruits. GREAT problem to have, IMO.

But, c'mon Michael.....the dude that make Cadillac and Ronnie great is in Orange and White now, son!
