| Coaching Staff = Regional recruiting success! Just a random thought... But looking at the staff we're building, their backgrounds, former teams, etc. Coach Kiffin maybe finding the best coach & the best recruiter from each of their respected regions!
Chaney- from reading your posts, he's back in 'his' midwest recruiting now.
Orgeron- he's been a beast in recruiting south FL for years
Monte- His name & reputation should speak volumes to northern & mid Florida kids
Almost Garner?- He is known to lock down the State of Georgia's best prospects & would've been Kiffin's Georgia expert
I would suspect that each hotbed of talent nationwide has trends/ tendencies/ connections/ secrets that benefit coaches in each of these respective areas! and if you look at our new staff, I think we are going to have an excellent coach with a connection or presence for each of the countries hotbeds of talent!
So will our next Staff additions bring us a Georgia/ Alabama connection, someone with a Virginia/ DC background, or a West Coast expert?? |

| We aren't getting Garner. And Orgeron is probably the biggest Nationwide guy we can get. Lane is probably going to focus more in Cali from what I've gathered. |

| Already have West Coast with Kiffin and O from their days at SC. Garner would have been a great recruiter for GA (Atlanta). Reaves has South Caolina covered. O knows Mississippi, Louisiana, and Bama. Monte has Northern Florida, and Gonzales, if hired, will have south Florida. We need a good connect in TX, VA (DC), Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I would like to add Lance Thompson from Bama to staff to lock down the south. |

| Big O will own I-40 from Knoxville to Memphis and everything on the way. Houston Nutt, Dan Mullen, Les Miles, and the city of Memphis better get ready. Despite distance, Memphis is still our backyard, and Orgeron has more notoriaty and in-roads than both Mullen and Nutt put together. Mississipppi continues to get more talent rich by the year. First week on the job and already the response from Mississippi recruits has been great. We may not dominate, but Orgeron is going to pluck away 3 or 4 of the top 10 players year in, year out.
And then there is Lousisiana, the place he calls home. Nick Saban was already going to be a huge crick in the neck, won't be long before Orgeron becomes his pain in the azz. Miles has the the best class this year, but he won't be able survive the cajuns if he continues to fumble away national players like Joe McKnight or Reuben Randle.
On his way back to Knoxville he would hit up a few cities a second time and cap off a week long trip with a half a dozen 4 star committments. |

| I think CLK will recruit Tennessee as well as Coach O because he is the "face" of UT football and if he want's to close the border then he needs to put time in with the Coachs and the recruits. I'm sure he'll do other areas as well but Tennessee needs to be one of his priorities. |

| As long as the University of Tennessee still exists in the state of Tennessee and not in either Texas or Oklahoma, no amount of Texas faces will get Texas kids out of that state. They are born and bred to play in the Red River Shootout, and those who can't make it there go to Tech or A&M.

We've had quite a few Texas players over the years, and several from Oklahoma. |

Neither was Colt McCoy.
And Limas Sweed didn't come from Texas.
Selvin Young wasn't from Texas either.
Brian Orakpo wasn't born in Texas.
Cedric Griffin

I'll put it this way. 107 of the players on Texas' roster are from the state of Texas.
9 players on this year's roster are from outside the state of Texas.
But you're right, Mack Brown doesn't know how to get players from Texas...

But you're right, Mack Brown doesn't know how to get players from Texas... | Adrian Peterson got away Jamarkus McFarland just committed to OU. Infact look at all the 5 and 4 star kids from Texas who committed to OU in recent years. So Brown doesnt get them all! |
