I guess if anyone thinks every player is going anywhere but the Hill they're negative? Did it occur to you that since NSD there are only a few guys left to talk about? that being the case I just dont see us getting those guys, with the possible exception of Oku.

| Quote: What position will Charles play in college?
Quote:
Everyone knew Plant tight end Orson Charles could catch the ball. But last week, Wharton discovered that Charles also is an explosive pass rusher.
"He came after me every play," Wildcats quarterback Andrew Clifford said.
Because of Charles' ridiculous versatility, the question is this: Which position will the senior, who is listed on the Plant roster as being 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, play in college? Rivals.com rates Charles as the country's No. 2 tight end, but at least one person thinks he may have a better future on the other side of the ball.
A very good future at that.
"Very good athlete, very good hands, but he's your classic tweener," recruiting analyst Jamie Newberg told Gatorbait.net. "I don't know what position he is. I don't think he has the size to play tight end. I watched him play defense and he's a weak-side end, outside 'backer. The kid is pretty athletic."
| interesting

| If he is thinking of playing defense then he would have to welcome the opportunity to play for Monte.
Not sure about this though, because he has been very clear that he wants to be a complete tight end - blocking and catching. |

| I dont think there is anything to the defense thing, but posted this because the kid seems to be an all around stellar athlete

I have followed recruiting pretty religously over the past 5 or so years and I always have a problem of being to optimistic like Govols, but Rex was right it just wasn't very likely we would land any of these guys. Thats why he is being negative, thats what the information leans you towards.
(but I do think we will land BB after recent happenings.... )

| From ESPN Recruiting Page:
"Charles cuts the Gators, down to three finalists"
'Top unsigned Class of 2009 tight end Orson Charles is no longer considering Florida, ESPN affiliate Web site TotalUGA.com reports.
Charles will now decide between Georgia, Tennessee and Southern Cal. TotalUGA adds that the Bulldogs and Trojans seem to have a leg up over the Volunteers, who were a late entry into the race for Charles.'
Of course TotalUGA would say that, but ESPN never references VolNation as an affiliate, so they don't have a full perspective |
