First, Orson did not have oatmeal. That may be more popular back in the eastern US, where the thermometer often dips below freezing, but is a bit too heavy for a health-conscious Californian. And since Orson will be a CA resident soon, he decided to opt for the fresh granola he bought at the Farmer's Market in Santa Monica. It is one of the best in the world, so he had limitless options.
Second, although he indeed had a stunning array of fresh fruit (again purchased at the farmer's market), he did not accompany this meal with alfalfa sprouts. That would simply not be a suitable option. He did, however, have the sprouts later in the afternoon with a tofu wrap. So, you were real close on that one.
Finally, you completely gave an inept description of his day at the beach. Although the water is chilly, it would have to be several degrees colder for the next decade or so to form ice. And, the biggest fallacy you reported was that he saw a surfer being attacked by a Great White. Great White sharks are rarely seen in the waters of Southern California, so it was simply just a run-of-the-mill Tiger shark. And, he didn't see another surfer get attacked. Orson was actually the surfer who got bit by the shark! It seems as though Orson and Matt Barkley were involved in a heated exchange regarding the number 7 jersey both want to wear for the Trojans. The Tiger shark had enough of this nonsense, and attacked. He bit Orson, Barkley, Reggie Bush, and Kim Kardashian.
Orson, Barkley, and Bush were shaken up. Kardashian, despite having a four-inch gash in her thigh, said Reggie bites much harder. So, in essence, she didn't feel a thing. And Pete Carroll, who was masterfully carving some gnarly waves, took it to a whole different level of recruiting when he bit the shark back! Orson was so impressed that he signed the LOI on the beach with his own blood! | Nice work 72. Did you happen to get any video of Kardashian at the beach?
So, what's the vibe on the left coast about OC coming to USC after his visit?
Hopefully, Charles Barkley told him the only way he'll get the #7 Elway jersey is if it's pried from his cold, lifeless hands. Then he commits to UT.
Plus, I bet he can't get a pecan log from Stuckey's in LA, or Gatlinburg's famous salt water taffy, or candied apples, dream catchers, or air brushed tee-shirts. |

| Orson Charles left for USC on Friday thinking the Trojans weren’t for him. After spending the weekend with Coach Pete Carroll and the rest of the coaching staff, USC suddenly became a viable option for the Plant wideout.
“I liked it a lot because they answered a lot of my questions,” Charles said. “It changed my outlook. I was going to eliminate them because it was too far. They were going to have to show me something to get me to change my mind and they did.”

The trip to USC was Charles’ fifth and final one and now he’s prepared to sit down and make a decision. Charles, who also took trips to FSU, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, plans to discuss the pros and cons of each program with his mom, his mentor and his pastor. He said he will eliminate one or possibly two of the schools on Wednesday. He’s already eliminated FSU from consideration.
| Don't know about his mom and his mentor, but we all know whose side God in on. |

I just don't see this kid at USC - I've been saying that for months now and I'm not going back on it. It's a UGA-UT race. Florida gets eliminated on Wednesday. | Quote:

While Rex was chirping (just ribbing you, Rex) about him being a USC lock - I was telling you USC wasn't a factor. They still aren't. Read the rest of my above post with the attention it commands. The distance will keep him in the SEC when the buzz from the visit wears off. UGA-UT battle as I've been saying for weeks and I think there are a couple of things that tip the scale in UGA's favor. Hope I'm wrong.
