| I'll take Barkley over Boyd anyday. No offense to Boyd... but this guy is rated #1 for a reason. |

| Although I seriously, seriously doubt it would ever happen, it would be absolutely amazing. I couldn't even fathom the awesomeness of signing the #1 player in the country. Eric Berry was just about there though.

Boyd would do so much more for us at qb than Barkley.
I've watched a few vids of Barkley. It looks to me that his receivers are always running wide open and his offensive line lets nothing through to him. He has time to plant, drop the ball down to the side of his hip and then chuck it downfield. Barkley's throwing motion is horrific compared to Boyds'
I am guessing that you think Barkley is better because he appears to have a stronger arm. I don't think that is the case, his motion allows him to put more leverage on the ball but it is a very slow and low starting release that just isnt going to cut it.
Boyd is able to throw the ball while getting hit low... If a defender is being blocked low and they get a hand anywhere near Barkley's waist they are going to force fumbles. Barkley practically lays the ball out behind him on a silver platter for defenders to take from him before he gets rid of it.
Boyd is the man, I hope we get him. He reminds me of VY only with better accuracy, touch and a heck of a lot better throwing motion. |

haha! he is about 5-6" shorter and about 30-40lbs lighter.
so yeah you are right
how he takes his drop, his body language and mannerisms are however similar, he could be mini-V
only with the better throwing motion of course
just wait someone much smarter with more football cred than me will make the comparrison
Even though he is smaller than VY, in college VY was hard to touch because often times he was running in space created by play action. I think Boyd can make people miss like young could. I can't wait to see him play. |

Its not just their size. They're just not alike. Boyd won't be breaking any 50-60 yard runs like VY. Boyd is also a much more polished passer than VY was at this point.
