It didn't have anything to do with the loss. He informed the coaches of this before the game. I just read about what he said from Hubbs.

It has to do with the distance.

That sucks. I thought he was a "for sure" when his family took that trip to Knoxville.

He said the distance really seems to be a concern because if he has a family emergency he wants to be readily available for his family. That's legit for me. This was told to the coaches before the game.
