| Tennessee has shown him some love but apparently not alot. Supposedly some grade issues could come up with him as well. |

| I was at a scrimmage last summer and Nick Saban was talking to his mother for almost an hour. He is a good player but not fit for Tennessee. He lacks heart.

| If you know alot about football then you know that stats are not lways what they truly are. Now just because I said he lacks heart doesn't mean he can't tackle.Let me just say with King " When the going got tough, King never got going " There are several of instances that I can recall but the one that sticks out was when the big back from Henry County couldn't be stopped, Melrose called on King to step up and he tucked his head and laid down.

King is getting plenty of pressure to join UM from teammate and Cane signee Antonio Harper as well as former Melrose star and current Hurricane Graig Cooper.
"Everyone knows Miami is the place everybody wants to go to," King said. "They say it's a great city you'd love to visit. They said it would be a good experience for me to just come and take a visit first and then decide what I want to do. It's a fun city right there, that's what they tell me."

BY S Robertson. King says likes Alabama a lot right now; but that he will take all his visits this fall before he makes a choice. He mentions LSU, Tennesee, Miami, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ole Miss, Memphis, North Carolina and Mississippi State as schools he is focused on.

Perhaps the top prospect in the Memphis area for 2009 ia ferocious linebacker Greg King from Melrose High School. This 6-foot-3, 200-pound defender had plans to attend Alabama's win over Ole Miss but cancelled at the last minute.
That doesn't mean, however, that the Crimson Tide's status with this top prospect has slipped.
"I was going to go to the Alabama game but my assistant coach that was supposed to take me called me Friday night after our game and told me he was just too tired to go the next day," said King. "I was pretty beat up too on Saturday morning so we just stayed in town and I watched the game with my mom on television. Alabama did real good and it was a big win over an Ole Miss team that is better than what people think.
"I was just exhausted on Saturday. I think I had about 18 tackles in our game Friday night. I was making plays all over the field. All I know is that I hit the ground a lot of times and the ball-carrier was wrapped up in my arms. I am still tripping over the fact we lost by a point, but I had a great game Friday night."
With the Alabama coaching staff still looking to land two or three more linebackers in this class, King has become one of the Tide's top targets at the position.
"I hear from Coach (Kevin) Steele pretty often," said King. "Coach Steele is a good man. He just tells it like it is. He reminded me last week that I have a spot at Alabama anytime I want it. They want me to come down there real bad and to be honest I am feeling them pretty good too.
"Georgia is a another school that is on me pretty hard. They sent a couple of defensive coaches to see me Friday night. They have talked like they may offer me, and I think I did enough Friday to impress them."
Right now, one school is standing out from the rest for King.
"You could say that Alabama is in the lead right now," said King. "They have everything working in their favor right now. Tennessee was up there too but they are slipping down. They just have had too many breakdowns as a team although they can still get it together. I may go check Tennessee and Alabama out this weekend, but I know for sure I am going to make it to Alabama when they play Mississippi State."
King is the 10th-ranked prospect in the state of Tennessee per Rivals.
