Hawkins has emerged as the best cornerback in Maryland and has set three official visits. He has been hard to reach since rumors of an imminent commitment to Maryland began making the rounds in late July. Those rumors were false, but the Terps are in the mix. Hawkins has narrowed his list to Penn State, Georgia, Tennessee, Oregon, Michigan and West Virginia in addition to Maryland. He has set official visits with the Vols (Sept. 19) Bulldogs (Sept. 26) and the Nittany Lions (Oct. 17). He also would like to visit Oregon when the Ducks play host to UCLA on Oct. 10.
looks like we may have a small shot. if we can get them on campus we have a shot.

Silent Commits

Are some fans' wet dreams. It really worked for us last year, didn't it? All we heard was how we had some 4 and 5 star silent commitments, and none came through. All that happened at the end was that we lost a safety to Michigan and Kelly chose baseball.

Chavis is getting killed by Steele recruiting D-linemen. They already have 3 commits who could play DT (if you count Ming), plus they are hot and heavy after Bonds.

Ming is 265 lbs. He might end up there but as of right now couldn't play DT in the SEC at that weight and be productive...unless it was only on passing situations.

...........doesn't recruit and can't coach - a nice combination for the other SEC schools.

Donald Langley isn't much heavier and is showing some ability. They both need to add weight, though.
