If you are doing so excellent in school that you can maintain a 4.0 GPA, then that knowledge should carry over to the ACT. Its nothing but a compilation of the skills you've learned over the course of your education.

i can agree with that to some degree. You're definitely smart with a 4.0, it's just there could easily be others smarter than you at 4.0 as well. But I just think you can manage better than a 23, standardized test or not. I'm not trying to brag, but I made a 32 overall, so I saw no reason to take it again. I also only managed a 3.7 GPA in high school, but I took some harder math classes, some AP courses and some advanced courses.

There was no way for me to get around to why i have my feelings. I guess I just don't know much from the other side. I'm obviously a better tester than I am at working hard to get the grade. A very good friend of mine (well she was back then), was definitely not one of the smartest in our class, but she didn't take any AP courses, only took the required math courses, but did take some advanced English classes and snuck away with co "valid victorian" honors. She studies like no one else though. I know I beat her in the ACT, but she didn't make a 23 either. I just can't grasp the idea of a 4.0 and a 23.

I have a 4.0 and I made a 23 on the ACT. Granted Im only a sophmore and i didnt prep for it at all.

I went to a private school and finished 4th in my class with a 3.9 GPA. However, I took the ACT twice and got a 23 both times. I was terrible at Standardized tests. It is very possible for people to do very well in school and average on the ACT.

I have a 3.4 at one of the best public high schools in Ohio, and got a 23, hopefully I can get that up to a 24 or 25 so I can get into Tennessee.
