Seriously if we are graduating the starting RB I thought UT would at least be on a few players list in the Rivals top 100. UT isn't being considered by any RB's in the Rivals top 100 I saw. Has Creer done enough that we wouldn't try to recruit another top back? With, Coker dismissed, Foster graduating, and Hardesty injury-prone, UT would be looking to land a top prospect at RB.
UT is in the lead for Jarvis Giles, a top 100 player. We are also in very good with David Oku, another top 100 player. There are also a couple of other backs we are recruiting. Also, don't forget about T. Poole who has been impressive so far.
There are threads about the backs UT is looking at in this forum.

LaMarcus Coker - Football Recruiting

Creer was #6 looks like
Lennon Creer - Football Recruiting

Poole #16
Tauren Poole - Football Recruiting
Coker was the #2 All Purpose back. He was actually ranked lower then Lennon Creer in the Rivals 100.

That doesn't make any sense.

He would be a good pick-up. #10 at RB 99 rivals 100

How many players has UT recruited as an "athlete" in the last 10 years who ended up starting a game at RB? I can't think of one...

Not sure if Hardesty has started a game, but he was an athlete. From everything I've read, Wingo is a RB. Also, Oku isn't an athlete incase that confused you.

guys this class is not going to be the rumored 16-20 prospects...it's going to be maxd out at 25 and with the amount of high profile prospects interested in us this early it would not be a surprise if we over sign...

there is no rule to my knowledge that says we can't sign 2 highly ranked RB's. we have the space and the need and we are high on several prospects list

-Jiles is as good as ours according to most
-we are no worse than 3rd with oku who gave his visit to UT a 9.5
-Montrell Conner has us in his top 3
-Ronnie Wingo is visiting injune
-Gabe hunter is in state

we are in very very good shape at RB as far the 09 recruiting class goes. I'm tired of the pessimism...get over your 08 hangover already

He started against Florida in 2006, I believe.
