Cheek is a big time Rutgers lean. IF we miss out on McDonald, Hood is there. And yes it probably was a conditional offer. Also, you never know what will happen when the coaches go out to scout players. .. Other names will probably emerge.

Coach K will have to make up big time ground to get Favors. Right now he probably isn't leaving the state. I'm not saying he wont or it can't be done, but just that he will have to work HARD. If Duke lands Favors, I will be big time impressed.

Umm, Rutgers is the team to beat right now according to a bunch of people. They are a team on the rise and have Mike Rosario, a Mcdonalds all american, coming in next year. They also snagged Duke's top post target for '09.

Just like how all the other big schools beat out Rutgers on Mike Rosario.

You're an idiot.

Big time player. He looked VERY good during the McDAA game and IMO was the most impressive guard other than Tyreke Evans. I know it is an all star game and you can't base a lot on it. But he looked GOOD. Hit some very nice shots.

Edited: Also the high school teammate of Dominic Cheek.

Tyreke Evans impressed me by not getting punched by a teammate for his over-dribbling and fadeaway threes.

Agreed. He was a ballhog. He looked good though. Probably because he took every shot he could...lol

Mike Rosario isn't a one and done type player like Cheek.

I'm not sure if Cheek will go one and done but if he's thinking about it I don't the think he would go to Rutgers. He needs more exposure than that.

Don't get me wrong he is a tremendous talent and really impressed me with his rebounding, but his basketball IQ is very suspect which would give him trouble at the PG spot, and he isn't effective at all when the ball isn't in his hands.

Rutgers did get Greg E right from under our noses... They must be doing something right.

And Jman, I hope we can land Favors. If not we need to atleast look at Karron Johnson (Durham) or Daniel Orton. I mean what the hell do we have to lose?

If not though, offer Hood. K has been slowly courting the kid.

Plus for all I know, Zoubek and LT will actually show that they deserved their schollys and we could have a deep back court class with Leslie, Kenny and Hood.

But I highly doubt the Zoubek/LT part.

If Cheek is as good as he should be, Rutgers will get plenty of exposure. Especially with ESPN's love affair with the Big East. Honestly, UT's exposure level still isn't that high.
