He should take all the time he needs. I don't blame him at all. I don't feel an ounce of pity for these schools that are twisting in the wind just waiting to bring this guy on campus to exploit him (or the other 84 scholarship players) to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, while these guys can't even make $.01 off of the sales of their jersey in the bookstore.

Screw'em...

exploit? Wrong my friend. He is using the school as well. He is getting a free education, free books, free tutors, free food, free athletic clothes, free health care (while he is there), and getting all of the exposure that he can get to build his product (which is himself) to make money in the NFL not only with a playing contract, but also endorsements and jersey money.

The school rakes in tens of millions in revenue, gets millions more dollars of exposure in the media, and all they have to do is sacrifice 85 scholarships. On a usual campus like your Tennessees, Texas, Florida, or Ohio State, 85 scholarsips is nothing compared to 30,000+ students. Peanuts in the overall scheme of things if you compare what a university has to compensate these guys with vs what they get in return.

The schools are exploiting them and it ain't even close to being reasonable.

agree 100%. The NFL bound student athlete uses the university just as much as the other way around. There is no minor league for football and theses guys are not physically prepared to make the jump from HS. They choose a school based on their best opportunity to market themselves to the next level. Im just happy that they at least get exposed somewhat to a collegiate experience.
