| Quote: Way Too Early Prediction of What Our Class Will Look Like
Posted on April 16 2008 under
It is just as the title suggests, way too early to do this. However i thought i would just throw this out there ot give you guys an idea of what i am working off of. A lot of this will be based on fact, but because it is soo early in the recruiting process, some of this is just guess. The fact is that most of the prospects themselves do not know where they are going, and in turn nor do I. But i will give this a shot. Please comment on any inclusions or omissions that you guys find surprising, and i will do my best to explain. Here goes, i will start with 23 players.
QB: None
RB: David Oku (No Lead, but we are in a good position to gain one)
RB: Jarvis Giles (Solid Lead
FB: Domonique Allen (Moderate Lead)
WR: Zach Rogers (Solid Lead)
WR: Marlon Brown (Lead)
WR: Je'Ron Stokes (Committed)
TE: Thad McHaney (Bama leads, but we are closing fast)
OT: Andre Harris (I think we have a small lead)
OT: Alex Bullard (Solid Lead)
OT: Aubrey Phillips (Solid Lead, he claims an offer, but i am not 100%)
OG: Kamran Joyer(Solid Lead)
OG:Courtney Easterwood (Moderate Lead)
DE:Daniel Hood (Solid Lead)
DE: Rae Sykes (Committed)
DE: Tyrel Wilson (I would assume we lea, but i have not heard much one him. Strong Vol ties)
DT: Derrick Lott (Does not have an offer yet, i assume we will miss on some others)
DT: Craig Drummond (Just a hunch, no lead, and Illinois will be tough to beat)
DT: Corey Hall (Committed)
LB: Mike Privott (No Lead, and No offer, but given our lack of targets here i think he will get one.)
LB:Cody Ledford (No lead yet, but he will be here for the Spring Game)
DB: Jordan Love (Was very happy to get an offer, will be on campus soon)
DB: Stephon Gilmore (Many say Clemson leads, but i think he likes us a lot)
DB: Damien Thigpen (I think we lead.

| I think we have a lead with Oku, no lead with Giles, and I wouldn't call us a solid lead with Bullard. Otherwise thats not a bad list. |

| Im stoked about the possibility of a team with a Rufus, a Ray Ray, and a Jelani. We simply cannot lose with a team like that.

| You don't turn away good RB's. If it doesn't work out you can always move them a la Vereen. RB's can turn into very good DBs, OLBs, ST Specialists, Slot WRs, FBs. RBs are very versatile. That and you can never have enough RBs in the SEC.
