Steven Fowlkes

Steven Fowlkes, 6'5/215 WR and DE out of Georgia. rated as a 3* by both rivals and scout, this kid is expected to be a de in college. Will likely be 4 star rated or higher by the end of his senior season. Sal-oote

Yeah, seems like a potential early sleeper. I like his size and speed. I will add him to the list when it is confirmed.

Says who? No way he ends up as a WR. WR is definitely not a big need in this class and he wouldn't be a take at this point.

The last article on him from Rivals says that some schools were recruiting him as a possession WR and he likes offense more. He thinks that he can play earlier at WR because of his size and athleticism whereas he would have to gain alot of weight to play defense.

I still think he ends up as a DE.

O, and for those worrying about his ranking, he has already been offered by Bama, UL, Ole Miss, MSU, UNC, Purdue, South Carolina, and UT.

Again, I would take anything reported by the KNS with a large grain of salt.

they quoted him as saying thats a big reason why he chose the vols. The offered to give him a chance to play WR. That chance may only last a week but you never know. This kid has an excellent frame and speed to be an SEC DE.

I could see him developing into a Jamaal Anderson type of DE by his Jr. year if moved.

Listed as a 4.65. Not great for a WR, but he does have good size and that may not be accurate. Patrick Turner was about the same size and only ran a 4.5-4.55 type 40.

Interesting position combo (WR/DE); only in HS I guess... Sounds like this guy's long term potential is at DE, hopefully he realizes that. A DE with WR quickness is quite a commodity.
