It was a tough weekend for Beas Hamga and his Indiana Elite (formerly Team Indiana) team as they competed in the King James Shooting Stars Classic in Akron. After winning it all the prior weekend in Houston at the Kingwood Classic, Hamga and company tried to compete in Akron with several key players missing. Among the absent were Rivals150 prospects 6-foot-11 Tyler Zeller and point guards Lewis Jackson and Walter Offutt. ..

I wonder if Pearl would have gone after him harder had he known he could be ready to play in the Fall. We could really use Hamga next season, but after that, we have already filled our need with Jurick. Hopefully, Singleton and E. Williams will stick to the schools that have been recruiting them the longest.

Because we backed off. Apparently, a lot of schools have. His stock has dropped since Tyler Zeller replaced him as a starter on his AAU team. One of the Rivals staff writers says he's about to take a drop in their rankings.
