His first name reminds me of one of Key and Peele's East-West Game players' names. Great football name IMO!

"Tennessee has been my favorite school growing up," Taylor said. "I'm from Tennessee so that is natural. I've never been up so I'm looking forward to next weekend. I've watched them, but I also don't know a lot about Tennessee. Tennessee has been recruiting me hard. I want to learn as much as I can. I'm looking forward to that trip because of that."

The staff in Knoxville has been doing a solid job with Taylor and he is slowly taking notice. "They just sent me an edit the other day," Taylor said. "I hear from coach Wells and I did hear from coach Z (Azzanni) before he left. I'm just getting to know coach Wells so I don't know him that well. I'm sure I'll talk to him more."

Taylor is long and athletic. At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, he presents a big frame, but also has the wheels. "I think it's my speed and my hands," Taylor said. "I'm always working on my game because I think I can get better. But it's my speed and my hands because that's what most people tell me they like about my game. I think I'm explosive and can be a real difference maker."

So what is Taylor looking for? He's slowly figuring it out. "I want to find a place that feels like home," Taylor said. "I want a place that can make me a better player and a better man. A place where the coaches are good and I have the chance to play early."

This kid and the kid out of Cordova are big, fast, strong, and very athletic guys. They both could play WR or on defense. 6'3"
200+ lbs makes very nice safeties as well. A lot of talent keeps emerging in state this year.

Both of them got big bumps in there ratings, Taylor more than the kid from Cordova but both are gonna be good. There are so many good players in the state it's a shame that we can't get all of them

Ridgeway has always been good off and on but Cordova is starting to produce some talent. They sent a DT to Kentucky and a DE to Memphis in the 17 class and now this WR in this class.

The three-star junior athlete from Ridgeway High School in Memphis, Tenn., said he’s scheduled to visit Tennessee for the first time Saturday to attend its junior day, and he’s naturally looking forward to the trip to Knoxville after viewing it as “my favorite school” growing up.

“I’ve been hearing a lot about them, and they contact me a lot. And that was my favorite school coming up,” said Taylor, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 480 overall prospect and No. 39 athlete in the 247Sports Composite for the 2018 class. “It will be very hard for me to pick some other school. From all the other schools that I’ve visited, it would be hard because that was my favorite school.”

He said he already has heard plenty from Tennessee coach Butch Jones’ staff, including new offensive line coach Walt Wells and recently promoted offensive coordinator Larry Scott.

“They just were telling me I’d be a good fit at Tennessee if I choose to come,” Taylor said. “A lot of schools have been wanting me to come in as a receiver,” he said. “But it was only a few that wanted me to come in at safety. It really doesn’t matter where I’m going to play.”

Taylor said he has liked Tennessee “since I was little.” Now that he’s being recruited by the Vols, he said he’s still high on them, but he can’t point to any particular aspect of their program that’s most appealing to him.

“I really don’t know yet,” he said. “It’s just a feeling.”

Said that he will not wait until NSD to decide and hopes to make a commitment after his season.

Looks like a man amongst boys on his film. Great change of direction/acceleration. Think he'd make a great safety. Any update on this kid?
