The three-star junior athlete from Ridgeway High School in Memphis, Tenn., said hes scheduled to visit Tennessee for the first time Saturday to attend its junior day, and hes naturally looking forward to the trip to Knoxville after viewing it as my favorite school growing up.
Ive been hearing a lot about them, and they contact me a lot. And that was my favorite school coming up, said Taylor, whos ranked the nations No. 480 overall prospect and No. 39 athlete in the 247Sports Composite for the 2018 class. It will be very hard for me to pick some other school. From all the other schools that Ive visited, it would be hard because that was my favorite school.
He said he already has heard plenty from Tennessee coach Butch Jones staff, including new offensive line coach Walt Wells and recently promoted offensive coordinator Larry Scott.
They just were telling me Id be a good fit at Tennessee if I choose to come, Taylor said. A lot of schools have been wanting me to come in as a receiver, he said. But it was only a few that wanted me to come in at safety. It really doesnt matter where Im going to play.
Taylor said he has liked Tennessee since I was little. Now that hes being recruited by the Vols, he said hes still high on them, but he cant point to any particular aspect of their program thats most appealing to him.
I really dont know yet, he said. Its just a feeling.
