Seems thrilled with the offer to walk on @ UT, apparently as a PWO. First-year starter this past season who led the Nashville area in passing. Had a disastrous outing (6 INTs) in the state championship against Farragut, but threw just 12 INTs the rest of the year and finished with 40 TD passes.

“It’s not a full ride,” Hines explained. “It’s just an offer to play football. I’d get to live in the athletic dorms, but it’s not a scholarship.”

Although no money was offered, Hines is ecstatic about his offer. He’s so ready to get on board, he’s scheduled an official visit for Tuesday, Jan. 24. Hines explained that although UT has showed interest, he’s not ready to decide. Dayton has also showed interest, and he plans to visit there as well.

So, is he a PWO or not? If not then this tells me the staff has been notified that Ray isn't coming to Knoxville & we gave that last scholarship spot to this kid tonight. Which is it? I find it hard to believe that we would use a schollie on this kid but you just never know. Thanks!
