| we need to fill the O-line definitely, we also will need more D-line and some more D-backs.
1)O-line
2)D-line
3)D-backs
this is the 3 most needed places where UT will recruit the hardest. |

| There isn't an Eric Berry or Chris Donald in this upcoming class that I know of. The top player in the state is Chris Jordan and he is a stud but not a true must get. He would be nice but OL, DL, and S are our big needs. |

| Safety and OL are definetly the biggest needs, followed by DL and if there is an outstanding punter out there we may need to spend a scholly there also. |

| Would you think the Juniors that got a visit last week be an indication of how important the Staff thought they were? I know McLeroy (OL) from Rhea County got a visit, were there any others? |

| This next year will be the time that we can take a chance on a player or two. Hopefully, if we have a good season, we can do more choosing than recruiting. |

| OL and all ofthe secondary will be most of our needs next season.
QB - LOADED
RB - LOADED
WR - LOADED
TE - LOADED
OL, OT, C - NEED
FB - Might be a need, but I think we will be fine.
DE - Need in 09', might pick up one or two next year.
DT - NEED
LB's - Not a need, but would be great to have more depth.
All of the Secondary - NEED

| The way I see the order of priority:
1. OL (all positions)
2. Safety
3. CB
4. FB
5. DT
6. P/K
7. TE
8. DE
9. LB
10. RB
11. QB
12. WR (gonna be hard to convince any to come) |

| While I do not have any major objections to this list Quote:

12. WR (gonna be hard to convince any to come) | wouldn't it be nice if we could continue to do like this year, and re-load at nearly every position? We didn't get a TE, but we may get one by transfer. The only position we didn't get was kicker this year. Even at OL, some recruits and others already on the team will likely be moved to that side of the ball.
I also think that is a trend that will continue... Recruit fast DL, and move some of them to OL as they grow. |

And they will surely get some commits from the positions at the bottom of the list. The only difference is that it will be more difficult to get recruits at those positions because of all the competition brought in just one year ahead of them. It is also harder because there is only so much time in a day and they have to concentrate that time on filling the positions at the top of that list therefore leaving less time contacting and building relationships with the other recruits. I am sure we will certainly sign some athletes that fit the WR/DB mold next season. Just not anything like we did this year. See on the recruiting trail next year we get to tell the kids that our depth chart on the OL will be full of Juniors and Seniors in '09. Should lead to positive results hopefully.
Yeah, the reason I put FB that high is because after next season Cooper will be the only scholarship FB on the roster. So, we have to get another one. DT is ALWAYS a need but we do have 3 very talented young DT's coming in this class. |

| Seems if the Vols want to get back running the ball and stopping the run then OL and DL are a premium EVERY year. No team can ever have enough DT depth. |

DT is a much bigger need.
