He signed under Mora, so maybe he just didn’t like Kelly and his staff. He’s also had a ton of injuries his first two seasons, so maybe he just wants a fresh start.

I do hope the young man is okay, though. Head injuries are nothing to joke around about, especially if it's making him quit at like age 20. That's awful.

Dang. So much for the DL class being subpar. Even if one of these two can't play immediately, we've got a stopgap with the JUCOs, and Gooden was pretty good this year anyway.

The article posted earlier says he didn't "medically retire," whatever that actually means. Is there paperwork that ends your eligibility or something?

Definitely feel good about Gooden, but we really need Savion Williams AND Middleton/Cox/(less likely) Simmons to step up big for the unit to be serviceable.
