UT Commits In Limbo

So I guess we've got Rolando Melancon visiting Alabama and Kenny O'Neal visiting Minnesota this weekend. I'm a little more worried about Melancon than O'Neal. Hopefully these two will anounce that they're still solid to Tennessee after the weekend is over.

Should there be any reason to worry about any other current UT commits as of right now? With Lennon Creer choosing UT, does anyone think Daryl Vereen will reconsider UNC?

Sorry, but I'll remain this peranoid until Feb. 7th comes and goes, and the Letters of Intent for all the recruits are signed. Hopefully UT doesn't lose anyone, and they add a couple as well.

Here's to a strong finish.

There is no reason to worry about O'Neal, none, zero. There is a little bit to worry about Melancon. But not too much. He is much more likely to stick with UT than switch to Alabama.

Plus, I think now we keep Melancon because of the derogatory remarks made by Saban. He is never going to be able to get another kid from LA ever again.

Doubtful. I think the only people that are offended are those that have no clue what the term coonass means in Louisiana. It might hurt him some in other states, but probably not much in LA.

What Saban said wasn't offensive.. If you thought it was, you have no sense of humor

If it's not offensive and should be funny, when asked about using the word, why did Saban say it's not a word he uses? Then he said he was just repeating a story a friend told him. The guy is digging a pretty deep hole early in his stint at UAT.

That wouldn't be good. D-linemen are the most likely guys to turn out as busts. We need to get both of those guys.

it's good to know that you can speak both for all black men and everyone from louisana at the same time. I would say that there are plenty of people that have every right to be offended by that term.
