Four-star tight end Devonte Campbell out of Forestville, Md. was scheduled to take an official visit to Tennessee last weekend. The 6-foot-1, 234-pounder couldn't make it to Knoxville. Are the Volunteers still in the mix for his services?

I have gotten the sense that he has more interest in UT than what we have in him. I am almost certain that if he called UT today and said he wanted to commit we would tell him his scholarship is no longer available. He doesnt seem to fit the physical make-up of a top teir TE. Not huge and not fast. He should be one or the other but he is not. I am not sure what his high ranking is based off of. 4-stars seems a bit high.

One possibility, and this is just me making an assumption, is that we had him pegged as a backup plan at the DE position. What do you think warrior? What do you know of his recruitment?

I think we may just be keeping him around in case of a disaster(a few decommits and lots of our current board going elsewhere).

But, do you think we project him at TE?

He would barely be ale to block safety blitz.

I'm not sure what we project him at. Probably some sort of athlete and try him at different positions.
