Did Nebraska steal one from us?

"Texas doesn’t have a lot of spots left in its 2007 recruiting class, but the Longhorns are still making a push for standouts like Joe McKnight, William Cole and Christian Scott. Nebraska apparently landed a prospect who was believed to have committed to Tennessee. Read about these topics and more in this week’s Big 12 Blitz.

Probably talking about Chris Perry. I don't know that he ever really favored UT.

Actually, I think he did favor UT at one point. I do not think we lost him. I really think we let him know we had other DT's on the board ahead of him. I think we let him go.

Yeah, we already have 2 committed. Brimfield could commit after this weekend and big Marvin Austin is still a possibility. Perry is below all of those 4 and we apparently only wanted 4 if Austin is one of them.

Do you have a source?

The guy who has been the most reliable with inside info here says that the Vols are probably the team to beat with the other real possibility being FSU.

Chris Perry committed to Miami and then decommitted and committed to Nebraska...which they have nearly or about 30 commits

Marvin Austin's top 3 are

1. FSU
2. USC
3. Illinois

UT is probably about 4, but could go higher...but I highly doubt he's coming here

Illinois has been dropped for some time. Let me repeat that, Illinois has been dropped for some time. He claims 5 schools right now. FSU, UNC, USC, UT, and Maryland.

I think listing Maryland is just lip service for his home school. He was really disgruntled with some episode with Maryland a while back.
