The U

This isn't really a question pertaining to UT recruiting, but I figured it might as well be asked in the recruiting forum.

In the midst of all the threads about the various rankings by the recruiting services and how players pan out and whatnot, I got to wondering where Miami's recruiting classes ranked around 1996, 1997, and 1998, considering they really peaked with that plethora of talent in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Did they even have recruiting rankings in those days? If they did, anyone recall where Miami ranked those years?

Just a guess, but it had to definitly be #1 from 2000 to 2002

Sean Taylor, DJ Williams, Jon Vilma, Ed Reed, Frank Gore, Clinton Portis, Andre Johnson, Vince Wilfork, Willis McGahee, Kellen Winslow the list goes on and on.

Well here was the top ten classes of the Rivals era so far:

1. 2003 USC
2. 1999 Miami
3. 2001 LSU
4. 2002 Texas
5. 2002 Ohio St.
6. 2000 Miami
7. 2000 Auburn
8. 1997 Tennessee
9. 2001 Miami
10. 2000 Oklahoma

So three of those are Hurricane classes.
