Tavarres Jefferson

I am hearing that this guy basically carried the Ensworth HS football team on his back as a Sophomore tailback and he is already being mentioned as a legitimate D1A prospect in basketball. Next year Ensworth's schedule opens up with a few high profile games (the MBA-Ensworth game next year will probably be the biggest crowd for any HS football game in the state) so people are definitely going to be hearing about TJ if he keeps it up. Quite possibly Tennessee's 2009 #1 prospect.

I think the Ensworth HS team is 3 years old. TJ is a scholarship athlete there. They got their coach from MBA.

My high school plays Ensworth this year in basketball and maybe next year in football.

I saw some good press regarding Tavarres in a local H.S. preview magazine. I have a feeling that we will be talking about this guy quite a bit next summer.

Yeah, I didn't even know that Ensworth had a high school. Didn't the grade school used to be a feeder to MBA?

Actually we've been in existence since 1958. The high school was "born" in 2002. Ricky Bowers in the head coach.
