Random Observation

SoCal has had the number one recruiting class the last 3 years (2006,2005,2004), and they were third in 2003.

This is according to rivals.

That is sick.

Has anyone ever heard of another school going on a recruiting stretch like that? Pete caroll is doing something right.

It doesn't hurt to have the huge recruiting base right in your back yard...but that said, yeah..he's certainly doing something up there to draw these kids in.

I think you are going to have some investigations after this year if they are #1 again. Although you could look at it like this, the Pac-10 used to be a mediocore conference for about 10 years and California is deep with talent so why leave the state since you conference doesn't suck now??

They have SoCal as a backyard, not to mention they are the "it" team and have a former pro coach. They are rolling players into the NFL left and right. Who wouldn't want to play at USC?

O, and they've won their fair share of games over the past few year(along with awards).
