We have 25 commits.
It has been alluded by some of the VQ guys that we will sign 28 (Abernathy from Cinci figuring in somehow).

That leaves us with possibly 3 more we can sign.

Here is the list:

1. Phillips (DL and instate)
2. Martin (huge need)
3. Kirkland (need position at MLB to replace Cherry)
4. Walker (we've lacked in DL for so long I want them all)
5. Love (RB depth needed)
6. Sapp (esp. if this indicates Paulk is in good standing)
7. Jefferson (WR depth and instate)
8. S. Jones (sure wouldn't hurt to get another QB)
9. Amadi (DB depth is lacking but I think he goes to OM)
10. St. Louis (OT obvious but he is committed elsewhere)
11. Allen (OT committed to UGA)
12. Richmond (would be at top if I thought he would come)
13. Newsome (have a couple guys similar to him coming/already on the roster)
14. Vaughn (If Reid stays solid/Paulk returns no need here)

Obviously all of those are not signing with us. Some we have more of a chance with than others. Without talking about specific current commits that may drop, how do you see this playing out. I listed them above in the order that I was them based on need, talent and actual likelihood that we can reel them in.

Who do you see becoming Vols? I could easily see the top 6 guys signing with us.

Kyle Oliver, Rocky Reid, Dylan Jackson, and one of Darrell Taylor and Darrell Miller goes elsewhere which opens up an additional 4 spots. That leaves 7 available. We get:
1. Kirkland
2. Love
3. Walker
4. Martin
5. OT
6. Phillips (?)
7. Amadi (?)

i don't think we are getting walker, replace him with another true OT.

I was thinking that as well. Just have to see if he takes all the visits he was talking about taking. He takes all 5 OVs, IMO the chances he sticks goes way down.

I think Oliver, Jackson, and Miller are gone before signing day. I also think theres a real possibility of Preston Williams flipping to Georgia. I think Amadi sticks with Ole Miss.
Kirkland, Sapp, Walker, Phillips, Martin, St Louis, Jefferson, Bussey look like real possibilities. My dark horse is finding a way to fit in Ryan Newsome. Heres my final class:

RB - Kamara, Reid, Bussey
TE -
WR - Bruce, Perry, Jefferson
OG - Jones, Stewart, Bouleware
OT - Hall, St Louis
DE - Butcher, Taylor, Phillips, Ford

So, Richmond took a trip to Ohio State in November and plans to visit Bama in January. Should we even mention him anymore as a potential recruit? I wish we could have landed this young man.

It will be interesting for sure. I just wish we wouldn't start throwing names out of guys who may de-commit but I guess I should have known better.

I don't think the coaches let Taylor get away. He's possibly the best get in this class.
