Sport Talk in Chattanooga just said that Zach Wright from Alcoa had signed with another school and TN re-recruited him, applied for a waiver and got it. Now pending NCAA clearance for this year vs. Red shirt.

I could not find this kids thread.. Anyone know anything about this? Is this at all correct or is this just Haskew being Haskew?

If there's any truth to this report, I would think Wright is simply looking to walk on at UT. He appears to be a very strong kid who was an excellent HS football player.

I checked the roster, and he is not listed. So maybe there is truth to the whole thing, but like you said, I would think walk-on for sure.
