Mock 2015 Class (I'm Bored Edition)

It is the dead time and I feel like I don't have a great handle on this recruiting class yet. I wanted to put together a mock class and get some feedback from you guys on if I am on the right track here.

QB - Jauan Jennings - 4*
QB - Torrance Gibson 5*
RB - Rocky Reid - 3*
JUCORB - Alvin Kamara - 4*
WR - Preston Williams - 5*
WR - Van Jefferson - 4*
OT - Jack Jones - 4*
OG - Zack Stewart - 4*
OT - Drew Richmond - 4*
OT - Alex Givens - 3*
C/LS - Riley Lovingwood - 2*
DE - Andrew Butcher - 4*
DE - Dylan Jackson - 3*
DE - Kyle Phillips - 4*
DT - Kahlil McKenzie - 5*
DT - Tim Settle - 4*
ILB - Cecil Cherry - 4*
OLB - Ricky Deberry - 4*
JUCOCB - Justin Martin - 4*
CB - Cam Ordaway - 4*

That is 23 which I think is about right.

3 - 5*'s
14 - 4*s (couple could be 5*'s)
5 - 3*'s
1 - 2*

It seems likely we have another amazing class...am I being too optimistic here?

RB - Bryce Love - 4*
OL - Austin Clark - 4*
DE - Josh Sweat - 5*
DE - Darian Roseboro - 4*

What a crazy good class that would be. The best part is that it isn't some pipe dream or whatever. That's extremely realistic.

Bump McKenzie and Settle to 5*'s and you're fairly close (I don't think we get Kamara). Would be a huge class.

If we sign that class while still going 6-6 or some such and after the last 5 years we've had?

And the sad thing is, even as pessimistic as I am, I can see it happening.

Yeah I feel like to get some of these high rated recruits we need to look better on the field than last year... going to be a challenge.

Go 6-6 and don't get blown out in the 6 losses. Done.

If UT beats Florida, I think that will be more than enough momentum. Especially with where the Florida game resides in our schedule.

I have seen on some places on the internet that Dylan Jackson is listed an Offensive Lineman but from our recruiting lists he is a D lineman.......

I suppose bUTch is recruiting him as a D.L.

We won't beat Florida unless the players think of it as the most important game of the year. they must enter that game and not take "No" as answer.

In a game against EVERYTHING has to go our way for us to win. (1) We have to play a perfect game against them (2) we have to have luck go our way in one or two plays Then we will win the game.


even in years when we are better than them, they still beat us.

Boy, I sure miss Ron Zook!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortenberry seems to think he is going to stay at DE.

I notice that Jerome Dews isn't included. I have previously objected to people who keep forgetting about him as a commit in our 2015 class, but after hearing that he's being moved to safety at his prep school I don't think he stays with us. Or, to be more blunt, I don't think we stay with him.

Brian Urlacher played safety at UNM...struggled with the transition with the Bears I hear. :glare:

That would be an amazing class to sign on NSD.

Remarkably accurate and possible too.

I don't see V.Jefferson signing with UT though. He seems to be all OSU and has been for awhile.

Kamara will be hard to land, but it's definitely possible. If not, I'm pretty confident the Vols lead for Bryce Love and he would be next in line.

I'm somewhat skeptical on UT signing DeBerry. I think UT very well will finish 2nd to OSU on this one as well. Ordoway also seems to be high on Ole Miss.

Either way, UT seems poised to sign an extremely talented, highly ranked class. Good post.
