You have got to be kidding me. Everyone gets "pushed" backwards sometimes. That sounds like a Florida fan saying Tebow destroyed Eric Berry. This kid looks much better on tape then he does on paper. So much of the Rivals rankings are based purely on a recruits height, weight, speed and strength compared to the position they play and not on how they actually play the game. On paper Goeas seems to be to big and not quite fast enough for LB which probably isn't helping his star status much like Santos last year. An offer list is a much better indicator and while his wasn't great if you consider he is from Hawaii it is not bad either. He looks like a player to me.

I think if this kid was from TX and had quotes about "knocking the piss out of someone" he'd be a bit more well received. If you're looking for a LB to complain about Goeas isn't the one IMO.

That's the truth. Some folks slobber over tough talk and are sold (see: politicians) every time. I have no idea if this kid is gonna be good or what...but after the board superstar hype over the the kid I think you may be referencing from Texas I was dying to see his HS vids-and I saw a good LB who needed a lot of seasoning. Then I was thinking, "what is it I'm missing?"..... "oh, yeah....the talk".

The film and measurables remind me of Santos. This kid is a straight up baller. I'd love to have him as the heir apparent to AJ.

The 4.17 shuttle time Goeas recorded last January is truly remarkable, and it speaks volumes about his agility and speed.

Consider this: Nike held a slew of SPARQ combines over the past several months, hosting over 16,000 participants. Of those, over 1,700 weighed in at 240+ pounds. Only three of those players recorded faster shuttle times than Goeas: Jason Hatcher (4.06 @ 240 lbs), Derrick Henry (4.12 @ 243 lbs), and a little-known center from California, JD Hinnant (4.15 @ 258 lbs).

Goeas is an exceptional athlete and someone to be excited about, IMO.

If that is Jason ( not justin) Hatcher, then UT is in on 3/4 of these top 4! Cool eh? Maybe check into that center too?
