Lol - why would I? One of the bigger busts in awhile - not necessarily talent wise.. but still a bust.

? Serious Clark?

He was supposed to be the next great Spurrier QB and looked like it for about a fifth of his career.. The other times he choked games away with retarded TOs and was suspended every other week.. He couldn't even finish out his career before getting dismissed.

Anyway that's still off topic - if you don't label him a bust that still leaves a vast majority of that class that did next to nothing.

Fair enough, but if you go one class prior and look at the 2005 class, the vast majority of them did very well.

It's going to be hit and miss, but their ability to identify the best 17 yr old kids in the nation, with the accuracy that they do, is impressive to me.

Crompton was on that list.
For what it's worth, had Crompton not had like 5 different OC's during his stay and had better offensive talent around him (for Pete's sake he had 2 undersized walk-ons on OL), he probably would have had a MUCH better career at UT. He had plenty of games during his senior season that lead me to believe that. Not saying he would have been an All American or anything, but he could have been at least on the level of Casey Clausen or Andy Kelly.

Um...Garcia obviously had too much swag for team meetings, practice, parties in five points...

...or is that called alcoholism?

The last time I checked the elite 11 judges are not a panel of pyschologist who psychoanalyze the nation's best Qbs. They pick the 11 guys with the best arms in America, not the best citizens. I consider Garcia to be another good pick by the elite 11.

They also look at decision making when they make the selections - which Garcia was horrible at... At least while at USCjr but maybe not in HS.

Erik McKinney ‏@EMcKinneyESPN

Riley Ferguson injured his thumb during SPARQ testing at #Elite11. Has ice on it now. Hoping to be able to bounce back and play through it.
