| @Niebuhr247: The #Vols commit nobody is talking about is LB Zach Barnes. Saw him this spring. Physically impressive, a little raw. High ceiling, yes |

| This is a great commit for the 3-4 defense. You need giants in the middle of the defense because there is no second defensive tackle in the 3-4. I'm sure Barnes is going to be a good player by the time he learns the vision and tackling skills he needs.

| Seems there's been a lot written in this and other threads about all the under the radar linebackers we've been chasing. For my part, I trust the coaches. I especially like Barnes, from what I've read.
There have been some other SEC linebackers in the recent past who were also under the radar during their recruitment (i.e., not many offers) that turned out just fine. It can happen. Here are some examples: Patrick Willis - Yahoo! Sports Don'ta Hightower - Yahoo! Sports |

| I would say Hightower didn't have all his offers listed but Willis is a good example. Weren't both player more examples of instate guys who UT didn't get in on until late and it ended up biting us ala Cobb? |

My understanding on Hightower was that nobody was following him until Bama offered him. |
