Half the people on here that are so willing to trust every coaching move will be quick to throw Dooley under the bus if results aren't come by. |

Maybe it wasn't really Dooley's fault but the fact is he was demoted and that's the extent of his SEC coordinating experience. That said being RC under Saban is like being the QB coach under Spurrier. | I wouldn't say it was a demotion as much as a lateral move in an area of need. As has been stated before, the main job of the recruiting coordinator is that of administrative tasks such as travel plans as to where the coaches go and how to be the most efficient in their travel. The HC is the one that usually seals the deal with the actual recruits. So if Saban had a bad year recruiting it was on him, not Dooley. Same with Dooley now at Tennessee.
I would also add that being that most have designated Saban as the end all be all in college coaches, it's very telling that he brought Derek Dooley with him to the Dolphins during his NFL stint. That tells me what I need to know about Dooley.

| After Hubbs talked about this kid on 104.5 this morning, and how Sal loves his athleticism (after 2 personal evaluations), I'm excited to see what he can bring. |
