| Just got the chance to watch Bates film on HUDL, he reminds me of Zanca. Bates is a sure tackler, is able the shed blocks off very well. Also helps that his HS team runs the 3-4 defense, so he already familiar w/ it. His rivals profile says he is at 195lbs but his HUDL film says 217lbs, I think he is somewhere around 200-205lbs by watching his film. He would def. need to add some more weight, I could see him being a ILB if he came to Tennessee.
Sidenote: At the 3:20 & 5:00 marks of his HUDL film I'm pretty sure thats Vol QB signee Nathan Peterman that Bates tackles. | |
