Would be willing to bet he was going there (BA) free, and not paying his own way. Almost guarantee he was on scholarship/recruited there. The majority of their big time players probably are.

Doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Actually IIRC BA got busted and landed in a lot of hot water a few years back for just that.

Three LBs, one that is in the two deep? You looked at our roster?

That's why there's a public/private split in TN - because BA was recruiting guys.

They (BA) caused the schism in the state of TN.

It's no coincidence that they churn out D-1 players every year - they fight for/recruit against Ensworth and MBA for the top athletes in the mid state.

BTW - slightly off topic - but my next door neighbor's kid was recruited by both Battle Ground and Brentwood Academy. That's straight from my neighbor's mouth.

99.99% sure both offered scholarships - as the parents told me directly. Can't imagine they'd lie about it.

The kid (who's going to be in 7th grade) went to Florida's camp this year and Muschamp told him he had a standing (scholarship) offer.

Sadly, the kid (and his family) have no interest whatsoever in UT.

Will be a top prospect in the state in a few years.

May change drastically in the next 5 years. I predict this is a phoenix rising from the ashes year for our Volunteers!

The Vols have had a lot of problems at CB, and I don't think he is a guy who will change the trend.
