| Recruiting Forum: Football Talk I thought that since a lot of us stay mainly in the recruiting forum & hate to go over to the football forum b/c of all the B.S. & arguing going on that I would start a recruiting forum football talk thread. That way us recruiting forum guys can have our own thread to talk about the roster, schedule, certain players, the season, ect....
Hopefully the mod's will allow this to stay & possibly lock it to the top of the fourm? |

| Good luck with this, but...
1. I am excited to see how the running game and line have developed
2. I expect the secondary to be greatly improved.
3. I am concerned about our depth on defense, and our ability to run the 3-4 effectively. I think we will still see more 4-3 this year.
4. Whenever we have to put a foot on a ball, I'm just gonna leave the room |

| So with Hubbs' comments about Trent Taylor, where does that put him on the depth chart?
I'll hang up and listen... |

| | Thanks Mike Hamilton | Nice idea, but you can count on the usual suspects raining on this parade as well.

| | Senior Member | As for the 3-4 4-3 debate a lot is going to depend on the stamina of Mount. Unless they find a capable backup for nose more than likely they switch to the 4-3 when Mount needs a breather. TT is coming along and hopefully hes able to play the nose like an undersized Jay Ratliff, but theres not many other options.
Im excited to see an attacking defense more than anything. |

Seriously though he could be special as a dual-threat back in this offense. |

Don't forget though that we'll probably play alot of nickel with all the DBs we have. |

This is a good idea but I dont think it'll work.
Anyways, healthy discussion between like minded folks. Im really hoping the run game vastly improves, especially the o line. Nothing makes me happier than seeing big nasty linemen pushing guys around at will. Furthermore, im really hoping the d doesn't have severe growing pains. Im fairly optimistic about this considering the whole time Wilcox was here they talked about being "multiple" and it seems css is talking the same stuff, just more aggressive and more 3-4 concepts. Hopefully that means taking what they already know and expanding upon it, not completely changing everything. Hopefully that means less of a learning curve. |

| A couple of injuries could devastate our defense. The increase in talent and depth have been nice, but we are still not deep enough to roll with our second string and tread water. |
