WR Recruit in the Rearview

After seeing Sammy Watkins, Da'Rick Rogers, Robert Woods, Odell Beckham Jr., Malcolm Mitchell, Kenny Stills and Justin Hunter play which one would you want if you could have any one of them coming out of HS? (Take off your Vol tinted shades)

Mods please don't move this thread. Lol

Honestly, Justin Hunter. No shades. Watkins 2nd. Stills 3rd. Could have sworn we actually almost landed Stills or we slow played him or something.

I can't pick against Watkins. He's dangerous on reverses and returns too. Hunter is a close 2nd. Robert Woods is 3rd. A lot of talent right there. Should've added Marquis Lee from USC to that list.

Marqise Lee is a stud to, but to me it's a toss up between Watkins and Hunter, also Stills is overrated,IMO

Honestly, and just from strictly on field play, Da'Rick. He's physical enough to go across the middle and fast enough to go deep. If Watkins did what he did last year in the SEC my opinion might be different, but he didn't. Plus Da'Rick put up a 1,000 yard season 3 differnt quarterbacks...2 of which could barely get him the ball.

Look at Watkins as a freshman compared to Rogers as a freshman. It's not comparable. Watkins is still the better player though. Yeah he got 1,000 but he won't take a game over like Watkins IMO. Rogers really took over one game where he looked unstoppable and that was the Vandy game. I love Da'Rick though and I'm looking forward to see his game in the third year.

Fair arguement. But also, has Da'Rick really had a quality qb in there enough to be able to take over a game? In 2010, I felt like him and hunter would have played more if not for jones and moore. I felt like both of them probably didn't know the playbook well enough nor ran their routes crisp enough for Dooley to be comfortable to play them more. But last year, I felt like Da'Rick had some great games. Depends on what your definition is of "taking over" I suppose. I thought he stepped up in some big games like florida and lsu and although not a powerhouse by any means, I thought he "took over" against Vandy. I understand the Watkins being a freshman arguement though. Kinda makes you wonder though what Da'Rick could have done on the Clemson squad. I don't know enough about their roster to really argue that point though.

Edit: didn't see where your comment about vandy

Watkins.mcshay (I prefer kiper) said scouts were giving him a first round grade as a freshman.

Watkins hands down imo with Woods not far behind.

Watkins carried CU on his back as a freshman.

I'm not saying Watkins isn't amazing or good or whatever. He is obviously very very talented. And i would love if he wore OUR color orange. But it IS worth pointing out as someone did above that he plays in the ACC. Much much much weaker defenses. So it's somewhat hard to compare completely IMO.

Is colt Brennan better than peyton manning? Ok that's probably not the best example to use but you see my point?

Robert Woods. Hands down. USC doesn't win 8 games without him, and they probably have a losing record 2 years ago. He makes everyone on the field that much better. The only other reciever that can say that is Justin Hunter.
