I don't want him because I just want better players in general.

I don't understand all the hate for Jones. He's a big kid that runs well and hits hard. I'd take him any day and I think if he had a different last name a lot of you would as well.

Im not as down on Jones as others. Good size and speed. I dont think he'll be an immediate difference maker but he could be a solid starter his RS Junior year

I don't hate him I just like other players more. If we take him I wouldn't get pissed or real excited. If we do take him I hope they keep him with a four star rating. Lol

This. Change his name to Santos and most, not all, are drooling. But I do think there are better players we are in on.

Definitely not down on Jones but I am most certainly not impressed either. He has all the tangibles but it doesn't look to translate well to the field IMO. By that I mean that when I watch his film nothing jumps out at me. #pause .

He may make and impact later in his career but I'm looking for more return on investment sooner rather than later. And, I think that's why most ppl aren't as high on him.

I wasn't crazy over Santos like some people. Hell Keith Marshall outclassed him everytime they were one on one. Especially when he got trucked by the smaller Marshall. Jones will be a good LB but I'm not crazy over this guy. He looks to be the "glue" guy that everyone wants.

Santos is a beast. He was not outclassed in that game.

Peters was the best LB in our class. The other white guy that's going to Michigan looked much better than Santos IMO. Santos was faster than I thought he would be but he wasn't the hitter people thought he was.

So what if Peters was the best. We needed both and both would see PT as a freshman. Santos showed out at the practices and was praised for his covering ability, which was supposed to be his weakness. I wouldn't base his hitting off an all star game either. He can hit and its silly to say otherwise.

The Michigan kid was a badass.

Santos was like 6'3 or 6'4 and this kid is reportedly about 6'1 at the most. Not nearly as big as Santos who I was never that high on. Otha was the real loss. I have no disdain for Jones just feel we can get a couple of more talented backers.

I never said he couldn't hit. But people were acting as if he was just a crazy striker. He makes good contact and wraps up well but he's not one of those elite hitters. He's a good LB though. But I wasn't just crazy over him like some on this board. I was glad to have him but a LB like Peters was more the type of LB I like to see. That boy is a fast and furious LB. Reminds me of a healthy Kevin Simon.
