It is good to see us going after kids who other big boys want. Not just the vandy's unc 's va tech's and west va's of the nation. We have gone after and even gotten a few of them lately but it needs to be more frequent.

I've been critical of Dooley's recruiting in the past, but it does feel like we're doing much better this year.

It's good to have the dark days behind us.

"I've been talking to them a lot," Reeves-Maybin told JacketsOnline.com this week. "I visited them about a month ago. They were all on spring break when I visited but I got to see a little bit of the place.



"I liked it a lot. It definitely wasn't what I expected. I just like how they've got a plan for me playing quarterback. I would be a play maker for them."

"It's not so much just being a QB. It's about being featured in the offense," he said. "Just knowing that you're going to get the ball and make the decisions. I want to be the star of the offense. That's what draws me."

"I don't have a list but I'll probably start narrowing it down towards the middle of summer," he said. "Everybody's about on the same page."

His recruiting has been stellar...hasn't had a bad class. I would argue that he's had 3 very solid classes.

Not to derail the thread, but I feel we've lowered our expections too much that solid is OK. We should always strive to be better than "solid."

Our roster is full of future NFL players....something that was missing when Dooley got here. We have more depth (still no senior class). Call it whatever you want, but Dooley is getting the job done recruiting.
