I would not stick him out there before Alden Hill, or Borque. We can develop Watson and turn him into a flash back. We need to redshirt watson; he could end up being our main man in 4 years.

I think it would be a bad sign if UT is relying on him much in the run game this season. |

It is the belief that each incoming freshman is leaps and bounds better than upperclassmen, who were leaps and bounds better than upperclassmen when they were freshmen. It has a subconscious effect of believing there is a tremendous drop-off in talent from your first year to your following years despite logic and statistics proving otherwise.
The fact is, very, very few players have a huge impact on the game as true freshmen, especially if there is a solid base of upperclassmen. I personally hope we are in position to redshirt Borque and Watson, and would not be the least bit surprised if we do. |

I don't see him playing much either, if at all. I guess my point is, if any freshman is out on the field, they've shown enough to the coaches and they're deserving to be out there on the field. Watson is a wild card to me. I think he'll either be automatic redshirt material or with his speed, he could push for playing time if he's ready. I will say it's definitely more likely he gets the redshirt. |

| If he can hold on to the football you'd have to believe Dools will give him a serious look at KR. He's not been afraid to play freshmen because he's had to. I wonder if that will change this year, and he will revert to what a lot of coaches do- take the safe route? physically, you'd think Q and CP would give you the most dangerous option at KR, but a lot of other factors come into play.. Do they fumble, are they committed to learning the play book, do they practice hard, etc.
