I actually committed to them Wednesday of last week,� Watson said. I had been feeling them since I took the unofficial visit up there. It just felt like home to me up there. I was very comfortable with the town, with campus and everyone in the program.

Watson, who is also a standout on the track where he competes in the 100-meter, 200m, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay, said he plans to be back on Tennessee's campus this weekend for an official visit.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound back said he visited with former teammate and current Vol Alan Posey a lot about Tennessee and being a part of the program. He also said he likes what he saw out of the offense and how it fits him.

I think it's a good fit for me, Watson said. We run some similar stuff in high school and Tennessee has a lot of big backs. I think there are some lanes and holes that are good for me that the bigger backs can't get through or see. I think my size and style of play with speed can help them in the run game.�

This season Watson finished with 1,790 yards and 26 touchdowns.

With the change coming with Chaney being the OL coach and going back to a zone blocking scheme this guy is going to do wonders with a 1 cut and go...great pick up

We have limited spots and a ton of needs that aren't met with completely off the map track athletes. You are drinking some epic kool aid if this commitment gets you excited.

Wow! Some of these comments are flooring me. You seriously didn't think we needed another running back? This guy is super fast. We're ranked 12th in the nation in recruiting with a record of 5-7 and people are saying Dooley is a sub-par recruiter? Wow!

Im not a nega-vol but seriously? He has a good 200 time? Who cares? If he is that fast and noone wants him than obviously he isn't very good. There are 10 backs in this class in Georgia that are better than him that don't have major offers eithers. And that's not an exaggeration. If we are going to reach that far for a back, why not reach for Miles Jones or Tre Beck. Why reach for a guy who isn't a good player.

Sure, we'd love to have a RB. But how about one who at least has an iota of attention from other schools and recruiting services? Especially this late in the process.
