Recruiting will ebb and flow like Lynx said. At one time we were out of consideration for Clear and we all know how that ended. Dooley and company are going to take players best suited for Sal's system. If we don't get Herron, we'll get someone else. Not a big deal.

We also know how Dooley can keep things quiet.

The thing is that I'm pretty confident Herron likes UT and has interest in UT based on everything I've seen and heard around here. "Top schools" are going to fluctuate a lot over the next 10 months. Herron was busy with basketball while a lot of other recruits were taking advantage of a trip to Knoxville through the winter. Recruiting slows down as coaches can't get away during the spring practice schedule. The O&W is the biggest recruiting event we have during a long period of time, and Herron was not able to make it.
For those that haven't seen his film. Beast. When it comes to in-state guys, he has to be at the top, especially with us moving to the 3-4. This is another J. Williams type of player.
How much pull do you guys think Cam Clear, Stokes, and Jason Carr will have with Herron?
He's getting alot of attention from big name programs (what I want) and will get more IMO...

I hadn't seen this before, thanks. I can definitely see him being a great rusher off the edge for us like Williams is looking to be now, except he's already used to playing standing up. I think Williams played with his hand on the ground in HS.
Jordan Williams played lb and de his senior year. One of the media guys said he had to adjust, but they're wrong. His senior highlight reel shows him playing primarily at lb.
